Share Lotting

Share lotting is supported for all Asset Classes and for all transactions including those that are Projected.

Methods

Lotting methods include:

1. FIFO: First In First Out;
2. HIFO: Highest In First Out;
3. LIFO: Last In First Out; and
4. Manual: set by you.

Uses

By tracking lots, AssetView is able to:

1. compute realized gains;
2. compute unrealized gains;
3. compute projected gains; and
4. assign income (e.g. dividends) and expenses (e.g. fees) to specific lots and compute asset performance by lot based on income and expense.

Remaining Shares

On the Lots tab of an Asset and an Account, AssetView shows the number and percentage of shares remaining in each lot.

Lot Pricing

You may override Asset pricing with Lot specific pricing.
